Old iconic Bollywood songs getting reprised is now the norm, we can see this from the ‘Humma Humma’ song from “OK Jaanu”, ‘Tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Tara’ from “Judwa” and now ‘Dilbar’ from John Abraham’s upcoming film “Satyamev Jayate”!
The original version of the song featuring Sushmita Sen could have been said to be more famous than the movie itself! This may not be the case this time around, but according to Mumbai Mirror the reprised song was ranked #3 on Billboard’s Youtube music chart! Making it the first Hindi song to make it in the top 5 of the list! Since the song had been released on the 3rd of July, it has accrued more than 115 million views, which is still not showing any signs of stopping!
This revamped version of the song is featuring Nora Fatehi who shows-off her belly dancing skills in the video. The moves in this song took her about 10 days to learn for the scene to be shot.
Talking about the reprised version, it is sung by Neha Kakkar and Dhwani Bhanusali and has an Arabic touch to it and also retains some of Alka Yagnik’s voice from the original version!
Responding to the positive reception the song has garnered, Bhanushali told Hindustan Times, “It feels amazing. I’m thrilled that something like this has happened so early on in my career. I feel blessed. It’s motivating.”
