Helicopter Eela’s trailer reveals the ups, downs and in-betweens that mark the relationship between Eela and her son. She enrols in the same class as him to complete her education and fill the holes of the fading bond. However this forced closeness grates on his nerves pushing him further away from time to time. This rift between mother and son encourages Eela to revisit her past as a singer and musician, as going through the memory lanes draughts down a lot of answers required to get going.
The fun fact remains that the trailer was released on the birthday of lead actress Kajol, who plays a single mother fulfilling her musical ambitions while simultaneously bonding with her adolescent son and facing all the haywire challenges attached to it. The film also stars Neha Dhupia and Tota Roy Chowdhury.
The film is based on Anand Gandhi’s Gujrati play Beta Kaagdo, which is said to be loosely based on his mother.
According to the critics, this movie is such that can lately be connected with myriad households struggling with foundational relationships which in fact is the soul reason of enhanced areas such as mistrust, lack of loyalty and patience. These contribute to corrosion of character and lack of stability, thus the necessity of shunning the limelight into such vulnerable and delicate matters to open and broaden the thinking for many.
This family movie is rooting to bring tears of joy coupled with entertainment and immense learning, mainly for those struggling to keep the burning flame alive.
